Meet The Dentist

Dr. Shieh grew up in Munster, Indiana and attended Munster High School. He later graduated with honors from Purdue University in West Lafayette. Dr. Shieh graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2010. He was awarded the Gutherie P. Carr Award during his time. After graduation, Dr. Shieh wanted to provide quality comprehensive dentistry to his patients. He achieved this goal by enrolling in multiple continuing education classes. He has completed both orthodontic training through the Academy of GP Orthodontics and the Maxicourse Implant course through the American Academy Implant Dentistry. He was appointed as an Associate Implant Fellow in 2013.

Dr. Shieh has a passion in mentoring prospective dental students and young dentists. He currently serves as a board member for the Young Dental Committee in NWI and the Public Relations Committee for the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He also has a strong sense to help others by offering his time and services to the underserved. He has participated in mission trips to Guatemala to aid in this capacity. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Rachel along with family and friends. They are both avid travelers and love to be outdoors. He also enjoys playing sports, especially basketball and tennis.

Dr. Dunlop grew up in Valparaiso, Indiana. She attended Valparaiso High School and later received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Butler University, graduating with honors. Dr. Dunlop graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry with distinction in 2010. Dr. Dunlop was elected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national Dental Honor Society. Her love for children inspired her to continue her studies at Riley Hospital for Children where she received her Master’s Degree in Pediatric Dentistry. During her residency, she was honored with the Ralph E. McDonald Scholar Award for outstanding performance. She is also board certified through the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Dunlop’s pediatric dental training includes treating infants, children, teenagers and patients with medical, physical, and mental special needs. Dr. Dunlop believes in caring for your child as if she were caring for her own. She sincerely looks forward to meeting you and your child! In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Roger and exploring Northwest Indiana. They are both avid travelers and love to be outdoors.

Dr. Najamuddin grew up in Munster, Indiana where she attended Munster High School.  She later graduated from Indiana University Northwest with a degree in Biology.  Dr. Najamuddin completed her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2014.  Upon graduation, Dr. Najamuddin knew she wanted to settle down in Northwest Indiana to care for the community in which she grew up.  Dr. Najamuddin is a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, and Northwest Indiana Dental Society.  In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband Ibrahim and her two beautiful children Aria and Aydin.

Dr. Chiappetta goes by Dr. Chris around the office. He grew up on the Southeast side of Chicago and graduated from Mount Carmel high school. He went on to earn a BA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he was also a member of the Illini baseball team. Dr. Chris received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois-Chicago in 2006. Upon graduation, he obtained licensure in both Illinois and Indiana and has worked primarily in private practice in both states focusing on general dentistry. He has also spent time working for a mobile dental team providing care to students in the Chicago Public schools. Dr. Chris prides himself on being very straightforward and honest with his patient’s care and strives to be a dentist that his patients can trust and feel comfortable with. He is currently a member of the Chicago and Northwest Indiana Dental societies, the Indiana Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Chris currently resides in Hobart. In his free time, he enjoys working out, dining out, and spending time outdoors with his rescue dog
